She is an over-powered Mary Sue/Sunset rip-off/writers’ pet/waste of space with a backstory that is easily the most pathetic thing in the entire series; hasn’t learned anything except not to take away ponies cutie marks and replace them with equal signs; barely has a personality; received zero punishment for torturing or brainwashing and destroying the universe.  
And the only way the writers are somewhat justifing her presence is by being shoehorned everywhere and dumbing down much better character with far more personality just to make her look better. Not to mention all episodes that feature her are boring at best and atrotious at worst.
 
And worst part people are defending her. Because it’s always easier to sympathize with character that always whines instead of working on problem.

Glimmer was one the best things to happen to the show, come at me fuckers!!!!
