Description

Finally, finished it!

Here’s a mashup of Pinkie Pie and Guido Mista, the first of my series of mashups of the Pie Sisters with the Gangstars. I melded both of these characters together because I find them similar in personality: both are carefree individuals who just want to have fun (though where Pinkie is sugar-fueled exuberance, Guido is more laid back). Both are also weird to a degree: Pinkie operates by the logic of cartoons, while Guido is deathly afraid of 4. Finally, Earth Ponies have food names, and since Guido shares a last name with a food, he would be an Earth Pony (maybe Mixed Salad) Still, I see Pinkie more as Joseph Joestar instead of Mista, because Joseph is all energy and tricks, and Pinkie could be like him should she decide to be the prankster, though with cartoon logic on her side (Kars would be much, much, much more infuriated then). But I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to draw Pinkie in Mista’s getup (though with added modesty.)

Anyway, the story I see for “Guido Pinkie”:

Pinkie Pie might be the Element of Laughter, always throwing parties and doing everything to cheer up people, and never taking much things seriously. However, her story is one of tragedy. Pinkie was raised on a rock farm with her sisters. Life was hard, and Pinkie was not yet the joyful girl everyone knew her to be, but she had her sisters to bond with, especially with Maud.

One day, though, everything changed. One day, her father was found unconscious in the quarry, with multiple gunshots. That night, while her father was recovering in the hospital, Pinkie discovered Maud Pie sneaking out of the house, carrying a knife with her. Maud Pie spotted her, though, and made Pinkie swear never to tell any of her other family members. Pinkie had no idea behind her sister’s strange behavior, but nonetheless agreed, seeing how solemn and serious Maud was (compared to her usual self).

Pinkie returned to sleep. But in the eve of night, she was suddenly awakened by screams and an intense coldness. To her horror, their house was enveloped in ice, and Limestone swinging a sharpened rock at somebody in some strange looking white suit. Pinkie was paralyzed with fear, her mind racing to find a thought of action to prompt the body. She watched in stunned horror as Limestone collapsed from the cold and injuries, as the man in the white suit turned his attention towards her. Suddenly, her eldest sister turned her face towards her, and despite the pain, she managed to mouth one word to Pinkie: “Run”. And “Run” Pinkie surely did. She did not know how fast she ran, just that she had to escape, had to abandon her sisters to get away from the man in the white suit. The world turned into a blur, and soon, Pinkie collapsed from exhaustion.

The next few years were miserable for Pinkie. She spent her days drifting down the streets of the city, scouring the streets for loose change or a companion. And then, when her life had reached the lowest point and Pinkie thought of lying down and letting the vultures dig on her flesh, she saw it: a rainbow. Never before had she seen such a beautiful sight: vibrant colors shining on the clear blue sky, illuminating its colors down on the city. And for the first time in her life, Pinkie smiled. She decided not to let tragedy bring her down, to bring smiles to everyone else like how the big rainbow had brought a smile to her. Thus, she would walk around spreading joy to the people on the street, engaging with people and doing dances to cheer them up. When she spotted Maud Pie after many years and discovered her sisters were all alive and in the gang, Pinkie was beyond overjoyed, and joined Passione to reunite with them despite Maud’s objections.

Pinkie is still the cheerful funmaker, and when Maud introduced the gang to their newest recruit, Fluttershy, she threw a big welcome party, and promised that whatever would happen, she was always going to be by her side.

Thanks to GiraffeMeow and ksmanga01 for reviewing this artpiece for me, especially ksmanga01, who drew a line art reference for “Guido Pinkie’s” body which she allowed me to use, also helped me to find a skin color for “Guido Pinkie”. Your help is greatly appreciated.
