:D Problem: I specialize in writing platonic relationships, and I didn’t yet grow to love Starlight, unlike Twilight and her crew. Didn’t read enough good Glim-Glam fics to like her.
So likely she will be with somebody OUTSIDE the Mane Six. Somebody she knew for longer and realistically would enjoy spending more time with.
I didn’t think about her personality enough to feel how she would behave in given situations, and what would she enjoy doing, beyond what the show has portrayed.
And I hadn’t decided on her sexual orientation yet, unlike the orientations of the Mane Six.
I usually write a scene by going:
“Okay, so I like this stuff, hate that stuff, am knowledgeable/educated in that stuff over there, ignorant about these weird thingies here, and I often feel these types of emotions. Now……… what would I do in this situation?”
(Though I’m not thinking this explicitly in words; usually it is automatic.)
So I don’t have any plans in advance for her. Once I decide on her exact personality and likes/dislikes/priorities, she will decide what she will do… and other ponies’ preferences will decide if they will accept her flirting.
:P In short: She is her own mare who don’t need no stinkin’ human to tell her who she can date and who she can not!
At this point she has spent more time with Twilight than anyone else.
