Fuck that ability. There’s nothing after death, I’d rather have a regeneration factor and indefinitely exist. Such an ability would allow me to survive long enough to see my species go to the stars, and begin conquest there.

well, let’s do a survey. I searched for happy, screencap and started hitting the random button to get a random sample. I took a total of 100 ponies whose happiness and tribe could both be seen. 25/36 unicorns were happy, about 69%. 22/26 pegasi were happy, 84.6% and 36/38 earth ponies were happy, which is 94.7%. then I searched for sad, screencap and got another 100, for 5/32 happy earth ponies (16%), 4/51 happy unicorns (7.8%) and 0/17 happy pegasi. which lends to the theory that if you are a pegasus, you will gain no joy in the suffering of others.
 
but it’s pretty obvious that earth ponies are a lot happier than the other tribes, so they must be doing something right. in fact if you combine the searches, you get 41/65 happy earth ponies (63.0%) 22/43 happy pegasi (51.1%) and 29/87 happy unicorns (33.3%), so unicorns are pretty damn miserable, since there are a lot more sad unicorn pictures than any other tribe.
 
thing is, earth ponies don’t need magical powers, or wings. they just succeed without them. and when they can’t, they get the unicorns and pegasi to do it for them. and when they can’t do that, well… nobody ever cries about how devastated apple bloom must be that she’ll never be able to fly.
 
so you have to ask yourself, do you want to have a magical horn, wings that fly, or happiness?

it’s too cruel to make earth ponies even more disabled that they already are. I’ve always felt sad for them : nature didn’t let them have any magical powers or wings, and now you take their limbs away. It’s kinda sad.

It hurts just to look at this poor amputee pony.  
Sometimes I hate the Nature for not giving us some sort of self-destruction feature, so we could be able to die whenewer we want.  
I’d definitely use that feature if I were that pony.
