I think at that point the offspring would essentially be a griffon with dormant horse genes.
Hippogriff is 1/2 horse, 1/2 cat-birb, or 1/4 cat, 1/4 birb since (1/2)/2=1/4
The offspring would therefore be 1/4 horse, 3/4 cat-birb, or 3/8 cat, 3/8 birb.
