That’s what I said. Jokes like this are cute and funny on the surface. But when you keep in mind that they’re still shapeshifters and can change their appearance to look as whatever they please, the joke kinda loses its edge (pun sorta intended).
Is there a “this will end in self-mutilation” tag? There’s probably some Alicorn Twilight angst images that could be thrown in with it.

Perhaps their holes were filled with a sort of vestigial fluid made of emotion or some shite once they transformed and it’s possible to empty them by simply boring holes in the correct places on one’s exoskeletons. X3
Though I think life would be nicer and give him Pharynx like darker colors.
