I’ve heard that too, since g5 is gonna be aimed at a sightly older audience, and it also gonna be FV(Fantasty Violence), which is obvious that Discovery family will not like having it, which is why hasbro is gonna be moving to different channel.

Also heard rumors that Hasbro isnt even really enforcing it since they want to bail out of Discovery Family and find a better channel for when G5 rolls around. Would make sense given that DiscFam is on the most expensive part of many cable packages. Why make the essential commercial for your IP on such a hard to get channel?

If episodes are coming out elsewhere before they air on DiscoFam, it’s because those other networks aired them early, not because DiscoFam aired them “late”.

Season 5 was the first one that even ran through the Summer at all, previous seasons had run through Autumn to Spring; how many English language stations outside North America were even airing current episodes back then? It almost certainly has more to do with the fact that Hasbro bailed on The Hub in the interim between S4 and S5– that’s when Discovery Family happened– and stopped including airdate restrictions on international contracts since they weren’t controlling the flagship network anymore.

These early airings are all because of DF’s summer break policy. Back when they didn’t do that, the episodes didn’t air early in other countries. They’ve only got themselves to blame.

Technically, video channels in the future are foreign to us. Airings of this MLP episode may have not happened in the present, but could have already happened in the future on multiple streaming channels, which means that this episode could have been aired early, on-time, and/or late, depending on your perspective on the concept of time.
 
Simply adopt a new philosophical perception on time, and you weren’t/aren’t/wouldn’t be frustrated with this happening in the first place. :P
