I always did love going to old fashioned diners with waitresses like that. Back in Hendersonville (NC) we have a Pop’s diner specifically styled for the 60’s.

“Very good! He’s an arm-dealer, the Storm King was one of his main clients and now that the jerk’s gone he’s trying to find new buyers. The princesses asked me to capture him to help preventing new wars.”  
“What if he recognizes you?! You were the King’s army commander!”  
“We’ve never met in person, so he shouldn’t recognize me. Most likely.”  
“I smell danger and I suddenly remember I have something important to do somewhere else that’s not here, bye Tempest!”  
“You’re not going anywhere! …Cough I mean, not before you’ve enjoyed our wonderful food! Eh eh! Look, I hate to involve you, but I need your help.”  
“Why? I’m not a spy, or a soldier, of a friggin’ badass like you! What am I supposed to do?”  
“I need you to create a diversion to distract those two gorillas. When I give you the signal, I dunno, make a scene, drop your plate, heck, grope the boobs of one of the other waitresses for all I care. I need them distracted to take them out quickly and without putting other ponies in danger.”  
“Aside for me!”  
“Don’t worry, they won’t shoot you. Probably. Just in case, remember to take cover from stray bullets. I’ll be back with your lunch, sir!”  
“Wait, you didn’t told me what the signal was! … Aww, hell!”  
“Is something wrong, pal?”
