It was established in “Twilight’s Kingdom” that pegasus flight is a magical ability. Considering the small size of pegasus wings and the slow flapping speed, that makes sense. It also explains why Bulk Biceps can fly while Scootaloo can’t.
 
Sadly, “School Raze” either forgot or chose to ignore this. Which is a real shame, as that would have significantly upped the stakes. Imagine if all the pegasi in Equestria suddenly lost their ability to fly and cloudwalk. Imagine Cloudsdale and Las Pegasus slowly disintegrating as their inhabitants plunge to their doom.
 
… Okay, now I can see why they would leave that out.

It is a pity that we know little about the use of magic in other races, apart from the Hippogriffs and the race of Lord Tirek. Can Pegasi fly so easily without magic? I am not an expert, but if flying were not a form of magic, Yaks, Bissons and Griffons would have a clear advantage. ;-)

What if she removed technology and such from the world? And maybe do something like Midnight Sparkle ripping the two worlds or bringing one to another. Possibly bringing magic to the human world and ruling like that.

Well, actually, Cozy’s plan was to get rid of world powers and fill the gap herself, so, basically, to ensure global anarchy and take control of the resulting mess. How that would work is exactly most interesting thing, but EQG is a bit to basic to make use of such concepts applying to society.
