Bruh not gonna lie, I’m pretty sure being attracted to the mother is a deviation. Unfortunately this topic isn’t fresh in my mind. Time to put some Dr.Lobster on the background.
Well, I mean, if your mother pissed you off, why would you seek out those traits in a mate? More likely a man with a shitty relationship with their mother would seek out traits he wishes his mother had had.

Isn’t it the other way around? Men seek a “mom” instead of a wife when the relationship with the mom was… lacking?
Fair point; though she never acted behaved like my mum either as I recall (not to mention I was 10 xD)
Well, I mean, first of all you were a child. Secondly, nobody said it had to relate to appearance.
I know I have a thing for snarky, loudmouthed chicks who don’t put up with anyone’s shit.

I know the theory well, but the first girl I had a crush on was a tall thin-ish redhead (well, tall for her age…she was 7 at the time lol xD). I love my mum a lot, but none of those adjectives apply to her at all. xD
That might explain why Stellar Flare is my favorite of the mother characters in the series, along with Golden Brooch in the OC department. My mom had red hair and they’re both redheads(and Golden Brooch is a bit on the plump side).
Then there some of the characters with pink hair like Fluttershy(my favorite of the mane 6) and Milk Drop(a big fave of mine in the OC department). Pink is a lighter shade of red.
Admittedly a silly thing to use fictional characters as an example, but it’s something you sparked in my head.
Not really. Psychologically, most straight men seek out women that remind them of their mothers. Ditto straight women and their fathers.
Y’know, unless their relationship with their parent was shit.
