Unfortunately I wasted most of the first few days. So I wasn’t even able to finish the quest (I would have to buy a ridiculous amount of gems on the last day to finish).
 
I will have to eventually look it up to see what the dialogue was for the last part (I like to finish the quests to read the dialogue).

I made it through in plenty time. You got to no-life it if you want the big rewards. You have to be willing to ruin your sleep schedule. I set a timer on my phone for two hours, cured my Kirin, collected my tokens, set my ponies back on task to collecting said tokens, exited the game, and reset the two hour timer. Rinse and repeat.
 
For ten nights, by resetting that timer every two hours, I slept in two hour intervals every night. The whole event, like they all are, was completeable without buying any of the helpers with gems or actual cash. All you had to spend was time.
 
I ended up getting all the limited time rewards and fifteenth place in the token collecting leaderboards, netting me the Kirin Runesmithy.

That mission was f**ing bullsht! I only made it halfway through the last one before it ended!

Unfortunately if the end prize is good I’ll have to sacrifice my sleep hours. This is one of those times.. so tired.. I want all the kirin

Personally I just use my phone’s timer to quickly tab into the game, hit the button, and restart the timer for 2 hours. Really quick and easy, although it’s definitely an issue while sleeping haha

The final cycle takes one hundred eight hours to finish without buying the helper. You get one hundred eighteen hours to collect the limited time award. You only have a margin of error of ten hours, but it is possible.

This is slightly more interesting than how it happened in the show….

That yellow (I dunno what color really is) kirin is almost the only male and still hs no name it seems.  
It surprises me a bit.

On top of that, you spend about 1/3 of your day sleeping. (nothing wrong with that)

What annoys me the most is that I keep forgetting to check every two hours and the game isn’t even bothering to inform me when the other ponies finish their tasks (if it did that at least, then I could check on it every time I assign them to their task again).

Yeah, It’s the same as always.

I don’t want to sound like I’m a beating a dead horse (no pun intended), but the events barely give you enough time to get the Limited Time rewards unless you buy the necessary boost characters.
