Backstory: She wanted to start a candy business!
 
She and Dawny made a bunch of candy, and Yumi had the idea of making the candy ‘pop’ when you put it in your mouth, by use of unicorn magic, which would tingle but be completely harmless. The first batch went wrong and popped as she was swallowing it and messed up her voice! She can now only talk like a Vocaloid, with sudden tonal shifts.
 
She was bullied for it, and she would cheer herself up by sitting in her room and singing to herself. Dawny got upset and recorded her singing and put her online. She went viral, got a huge fanbase, and is now a pop idol!
 
Her and Dawny are still BFFs and Dawny is her biggest fan! Goes to all her concerts, flashes her tits in the front row, etc.
 
Dusky secretly loves Yumi’s music and has every album and various posters and her slice of life game where you buy her outfits and date her but you didn’t hear that from me.
