Once you have acknowledged the futility and uncertainty of a unintelligible, uncaring world, you are free to recognize the absurdity of your attempts to find meaning and revolt against such things, arriving at at last at a state of contented acceptance.
 
Although that does tend to fly in the face of your being one of the six most important ponies in Equestria, destined to meet the others and join with them in friendship before you even knew who they were. But hey, just try not to think about that too much.
