Oh. I know the answer. Because deep inside that aforementioned hater has no redeeming qualities. After all people with something cool in their lives have no time to hate on those they don’t have to engage in conflict with to accomplish their goals.
 
Do I hate on people? Yes. Are they people who have no negative effect on my life? No. I am too busy writing my novels to pay heed to those who like a TV show I don’t like or care about. So I don’t hate on people who like this or that show.

That sounds like something a scrub trying to try hard to sound like “not a scrub” would say. Everyone wears what they enjoy to wear, and as long as they do so out of their own preference and not to impress, it is alright.

I wear them exactly the amount that I should; and that amount is “not at all”. That’s because I’m not some scrub and I have a basic understanding of social expectations and I get why it’s fucking weird if a grown-ass man wears a show about a cartoon show geared towards the 3-11 demographic. You might as well be telling me “you don’t bring enough MLP plushies to class so that you can kiss them in front of all your classmates”.

Well. I never wear branded apparel in public beyond a few formal designer attires with their brand carefully concealed on them.
