It depends. If the body just died moments before the human transmutation attempt then it’s possible to bring them back to life. But for the Elric brothers it’s too late since its been several years since their mom died before they even attempted to bring her back using human transmutation. The body already decomposed throughout those years. They didn’t have any advanced knowledge of alchemy back then and had to self study using their dad’s books for several years then had to study under Izumi for 6 months. Only after those rigorous training under their teacher that the Elric brothers had devised their own human transmutation circle.
what if its the body of the person you want to bring back? see I have a theory on human transmutation, if the elric bros had dug up there moms body and used alchemy to restore it then used (idk what you would call it) soul alchemy to reach into the afterlife and get his moms soul and attach it to her body. I mean yeah you’d would probably still lose a leg or arm but I think that would work
Indeed, she’s insane.
But a soul wouldn’t be compatible with a deceased person’s body
She needs to get another 12kg of Oxygen, then put 4kg of Carbon back on the shelf. 4L of ammonia is more than she needs. She’s also short ~60g each of Potassium and Sulphur. 5g is too much iron, 3g is too much Silicon. And 7.5g is three times the Fluorine needed – wait, is she using elemental Fluorine? With standard borosilicate lab glass? Is she insane?
