Personally I wouldn’t be surprised if season 9 DOES end up actually being the final season, but who knows.
Not to mention as I recall G5 only had concept art in the leak
Plans can change though. Season 3 was supposed to be the end too.
No, it’s not “only rumors”. There was a security breach on DHX computers and a lot of stuff was leaked (including full episodes). The plans for G5 and season 9 being the last season were discovered back then. Plenty of people verified the security breach before it was finally patched.

That’s only rumours, there’s plenty of time to explore these for all we know
We’ve got one season left. If they haven’t fleshed it out after over 8 years, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
