Well i’ve never seen a hongyi or PP toy in person, but yeah from the pics i’ve seen Hongyi vinyl is pretty thick, not very glossy, and i’ve seen some of their older stuff have issues with painted on parts. Personally out of the stuff i own, the IW glossy fox is my favorite toy in terms of material used. It’s stretchy and kinda sticky, but it still holds body weight quite well (which probably has more to do with the size and design of the toy). If I knew which companies PP and IW go to for their toys, i’d probably order through them instead. But as it stands hongyi seems like the only well marketed company willing to do custom trademarked characters.
 
But yeah i feel you. I like inflatables with cartoony designs, and preferably ones i can either sit or lay on. I’m not very interested in the ones that stand on two legs.

I dunno about you, but I feel there is something “off” with Hongyi’s vinyl compared to those of IW and Puffypaws. They don’t seen to be as glossy nor seem to have the same kind of elasticity.
 
Yeah, those two dragonesses are the most intriguing designs I’ve seen in awhile, in the sea of anthro designs. I’m personally not interested in any anthro designs. More toys should be made in that leaning position than standing.  
You don’t see many cute and epic designs like those outside of PP, just mostly “realistic” and “edgy”.

If i weren’t setting aside money for BABScon, I would buy one of those new IW dragons right now. I love the look of them. And i’m sure they ride great on water. Definitely on my list of toys to get, and i’d definitely love to see some ponies riding one of those or the IW gryphon.
