“No, I told them about Melody. Even I’m not ready to re open that wound.”
-Adagio
“She’s just having a tantrum.”
-Also, Adagio
This is why one of your daughters tried to burn you alive.
Though to be fair, there was literal centuries separating these two statements. It’s still really odd for Adagio to be this detached here, but I guess this episode of her life solidifies her motherly instincts going forwards.

I meant that more in the sense of Adagio being a terrible person. This takes place several decades after Holy Word does her stuff in the 13th century
Adagio’s a douche! And Sonata’s a bigger one.

Pie family related to Sonata…
Now that’s a scary thought.
I don’t get it.
Edit: Nevermind, I’m a bloody idiot. Didn’t fully read the stripe.
This really seems out of character for this version of Adagio, seeing how she was with children BEFORE and AFTER this scene.

Pretty likely that that psychopath never even heard about Throw Away. That was a pretty standard witch burning.
My guess is that this is going to get darker. Adagio won’t think she is “just throwing a tantrum” by the end of this…

I remember
“Oh GOD, you didn’t tell them about Throw Away did you?”
“No, I told them about Melody. Even I’m not ready to re open that wound.”

I was close.
Melody was her first daughter, and “Jack the Ripper” was the kid before Dolly.
This is Throw Away, her second daughter.
“… haven’t had a single decent meal since we came to this god forsaken place.”
I’m guessing it’s Sonata’s first child.
