Heheh, non taken, man. For me, Gryffindor would be the house for me for the stereotypical reasons. But, when I was done with the test I got Slytherin which was shockingly amazing! After I read about the traits and what it really means to be a Slytherin I finally realized that Slytherin is my true Hogwarts house. Could never be prouder than that!🐍💚😎

I’ve found and taken the full test on GoToQuiz out of curiosity and it turns out I’d be more likely to be sorted in Ravenclaw, although Hufflepuff would be my second pick.

Plus, purple and green only works if one of them is more neutral. Rarity’s mane would not look good with Slytherin robes.
 
Let’s face it. That’s what she would value most.

Hmm. Well, I think Rarity is a Ravenclaw because i remember one thing. Hermione. She had the personality of a Ravenclaw yet was sorted into Gryffindor for one certain reason. In the end of that big wizard chess game she told Harry that she values friendship and bravery. That totally explains why she was sorted into Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw. That is exactly what a lot of people still don’t understand about how the houses and the sorting work. It’s about what you value in yourself and others, not personality.
 
So, for me, Rarity has the personality of a Slytherin yet she’s so into creativity and cares a lot about looks, design and stuff. And creativity is one of the traits that Ravenclaw values! So, yeah, that’s the reason why i believe Rarity is a Ravenclaw! I can only imagine Rarity being happy in Ravenclaw just because how “divine” it is.^_  
And if she was in Slytherin…well, she would probably dislike it because it is in the dungeon and how “horrid” it looks. XD

Rarity’s overall story arc has been dominated by her ambition to be a world renowned fashion icon, which would suggest Slytherin. But her generosity (to the point of working herself to exhaustion to help others) would hint toward Hufflepuff, if not for her general lack of humility. She has also shown great courage (Dragon Quest, for example) and cleverness (Dog and Pony Show). Sorting would seem to be a challenge with complex and dynamic characters.
 
But the sorting hat is also known to make some decisions that aren’t easy to reason from time to time. To quote HPatMOR, “If Hermione Granger didn’t go to Ravenclaw then there was no good reason for Ravenclaw House to exist.”

Yeah, not me either. Well, except for Rarity. I see Rarity more as a Ravenclaw in my opinion. Sunset and Starlight in my house: awesome!

I’m not disputing her placement, just the claim that she’s all that brave. I might switch her and AJ, but overall I don’t really have a problem with the setup here.

She does get scared plenty of times, though. In the S1 premiere, she (along with FS and Rarity) was notably scared when Rainbow starting messing with them about the spooky Everfree forest. She was also the most superstitious about Zecora eating ponies and she kept getting scared by Luna
 
Whenever Pinkie acts silly in an otherwise scary situation, I chalk those instances up to her just being oblivious to any possible dangers involved, which isn’t really the same as bravery. And when it comes to saving their friends, pretty much everyone in the Mane 6 do daring things.

Actually, Pinkie has done a lot of dangerous and risky things that even the mane 6 could not do. Like in the season 1 premiere when the mane 6 was in the Everfree forest and the scary trees scared the hell out of them, except Pinkie who just laughed at the scary faces of the trees. And when she and the Apple family went inside a dark, spooky cave and Pinkie was the only one who enjoyed the ride while the rest just screamed in terror. And when she and Gilda had to save Rainbow from the dangerous mountain where Pinkie ,without second thought and fear, just jumped down to the abyss of the mountain to save Rainbow. That is some serious bravery right there! So, yeah, that is why i can consider Pinkie Pie as a Gryffindor.

Not absolutely sure about Pinkie in Gryffindor, but none of the other houses are an obviously better fit for her. Pinkie just defies classification. She’d probably wind up sorted into House Atreides or something.

And how did you feel about it? Did you find out why you got sorted into Ravenclaw? Do you value the Ravenclaw traits the most? I suggest it would be better if you did the test like three or even four times just to make sure that the house you get the most is your house.

Totally! It was two years ago. It was amazing when i got Slytherin even if i thought that i would be Gryffindor! But, that’s because i grew up with Gryffindor because of the stereotypes, you know, Gryffindors are the good guys and Slytherins are the bad guys. After i read the Slytherin traits it actually made more sense to me and i finally understood that i value the Slytherin traits more than the Gryffindor traits. Being brave, dealing with scary stuff without fear and conquer your own fears are great. But ambition, resourcefulness, determination etc are what i value the most.
