You’re right, they most likely will not.
Of course we’ll never know exactly how long. I just wanted figure out the rough estimate based on how long a semester is.
@Paradox_Brony
Unless Hasbro tell us how much time has past between each episode, we’ll never know exactly, in “it isn’t the MANE thing about you” it showed that months has past, which is the time it takes for Rarity’s hair to grow back.
If the school is just gonna always pick Fluttershy without even giving the other teachers a thought, then the Teacher of the Month awards should be discontinued or rename it the “Non-Fluttershy Teacher of the Month” awards.
Yes. It’s a running gag.
The joke-behind-the-joke is that Twilight Sparkle started the “teacher of the month” competition, and she seems Tartarus-bent on continuing it even though it’s obviously pointless by now. That’s our OCD princess for you.
Don’t worry, I sometimes get seasons 5 and 6 mix up these days when I’m talking about Starlight glimmer.
Whoopsie
The School opened on Season 8, not 7.
About what I’ve said, it’s probably on average.
. . . . . .
Not in Massachusetts either with the winters we’ve had… and school tends to start the last week of August, giving them maybe seventy days, tops.
Not in Japan there’s not.
Assuming the teacher of the month award was present since its beginning.
@punzil504
That could be true but it’s unfortunately very likely that the Christmas special takes place after the end of Season 7 and these new shorts take place after the Christmas special & Christmas shorts.
Since Season 7 had a Christmas episode that means bare minimum 2 years have passed. So if 2 years have passed since the start of Season 7 and Fluttershy has been teacher of the month for 17 months how much of the year does the school operate?
Edited
Well, considering that Equestria uses Moons as a length of time, it’s possible that there are 13 months in an Equestrian year…
Maybe since season 1, each episode may have been a month in between.
That’s how long the school has been open from the beginning of Season 7 to the Christmas Special.
Somebody who knows more about school systems tell me how many semesters that is.
Edit: Apparently at the end of the short a 17th picture is taken. So the school has been open for 17 months.
