Well, yes, of course Laws already existed WAY before Moses did. Being a Biblical figure, Moses’ historical existence has been greatly debated though the Bible gives 2 potential birth years: 1592 and 1571 BCE. Sumer in Mesopatamia, Ancient Egypt and the Indus Valley were around in 4500 BCE.
So Laws existed before moses, I got to learn about it soon. And speaking of laws…
Not necessarily. If you study on ancient Civilizations like the Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Mediterranean, India, China and the Aztecs, they have already developed sophisticated advanced laws and rules of governance that paved for the rise of future civilizations that eventually to us. The 10 commandments are importanr in Jewish beliefs and by extension Christian but there are ones much, much older.
