Another Work in Progress. This is more like a quick sketch / color key / roughing out kind of deal. Except I took WAY too much time working on it, as if I was going to keep it. (well, yes actually. I kinda like this pic already) but I know I will probably change many things.
I heard that artists shouldn’t get attached to their sketches / rough / concept because at the end of the day they will have to RECREATE and IMPROVE on it–and that could mean totally discarding big elements from the sketch.
Also I’ve kind of painted myself in a corner. I don’t know how to paint soap bubbles yet so I’m right here wracking my brain trying to figure out what the hell am I supposed to do now.
Yeah. Her one distinguishing feature is the way she dresses. Take them off and I literally have no idea what to do.
I don’t even know her cutie mark, which is another thing that distinguishes one pony from the next.
Some ponies have special body type and features, maybe different eyes or different height or different snout. But not this pony. This pony is literally the most basic of base pony, with a hijab on.
Thanks a lot. It really is kinda hard to distinguish her from that angle/distance without her clothes on. Then again, you could probably say the same about any clothed pony. They’re usually unique and characteristic of that pony, especially in the case of the Somnambulans.
Much love.
No problem.
Thanks for the protip, appreciate it.
