Pegasi also have magic, that’s why they can fly and change weather. Alicorn amulet will greatly increase her flying ability.

ignore the least threatning villain EVER. As a pegasus, would good would it do her if she got it, its an alicorn only item.

She’s not a unicorn so she can’t use it (or can she was there anything about other races able to use the Amulet?)

I don’t really see her as the kind of pony who would be consumed by revenge (like Trixie). I believe she would just use it to make a living and only fight Rainbow Dash if she gets in her way.

My headcanon suggests that it is a MagiTek sort of device that either enhances unicorn magic or grant non-unicorn magic use.

Its my headcanon that all ponies are equal and have magic so if a pegasus wears they will have enhanced speed and weather manipulation. If an earth pony wears it they… TURN INTO THE HULK!

I think that only works with Unicorns.

Twilight’s whole family consists of The Chosen Ones.

All of the Elements except for magic had a different design prior to the manes using them. Magic having Twilight’s flash of light design might have been a animation gaff, considering that it’s only visible for one shot.
 
Twilight’s light flash is also one of those designs that multiple ponies have, with Photo Finish, her brother, and by implication, one of her uncles using that symbol. Take that as you will.

She would have a really bitchin necklace and nothing else since she’s not a unicorn?

The elements didn’t take that form until the mane six got them. Until then they took a dormant form as large stone orbs.
 
I believe they take a form relevant to their current bearers, so again, no dice.

That was a bad example, as a drill can be compared to an ice cream cone :P
 
That;s like saying the design elements of harmony have absolutely no barring on the mane six’s traits and cutie marks. They look that way for a reason, and not just a cut gem.

Wings, and horns, for that matter, are commonly added for decoration, even in the world of Poni. The jewel seems to be the important part, but even that could just be a decoration.
 
Relax, man, and don’t read too far into that sort of thing. Otherwise, you end up with the conclusion that Rainbow Dash has always been using all six of the Elements of Harmony because of her coloration.

She might get a little crazy but she’s probably level-headed enough to know better than to use it. She pushes herself but not in a cheating, steroid-like way using the amulet would entail.

I wasn’t basing it on name, I only used the name to further support it, I was basing it on the amulet’s design, with the wings included on it I figured there would be some significance to that. I’m wrong, apparently.

How the heck is she suppose to use it?

Not only is that NOT said in cannon it’s strongly implied that’s not true throughout the show.

It was strongly implied that it only boosted magic, and never shown or implied to do anything else.
 
Claiming that a change in name changed its properties is baseless and spurious. Especially since the word Alicorn was never defined in the context of the show, and the word’s other meaning would work for a unicorn-only device.
 
Pegasi powers come from the strength and speed of their bodies, and the amulet didn’t make Trixie physically stronger, so I didn’t think it would do anything useful for Lightning Dust.
