Thus did the tale of the Stable Dweller come to its conclusion, the Lightbringer realizing her destiny and taking her place at the right hoof of the Goddess Celestia, to seek out the sixth Element of Harmony and bring hope to the shattered wastes. And in time, she would succeed.

But the story of the Equestrian Wasteland is far from over: though the radiation and Taint have been purged from Equestria, there are still many other problems to be solved. Fortunately the actions of the Stable Dweller have rallied many ponies to fight the Good Fight, and there are many more tales of their adventures yet to be heard.

It is said that war never changes, and that may be so. But nor does the power of friendship change. And Friendship… is Magic…

Wanted to do a big finish for 2011, and this seemed like the ideal choice what with the main FoE story finishing up just a few days ago. What a ride it has been.

I started really working on this last night around 6pm, and it wouldn’t let me go until about 4:30am this morning, at which point I finally keeled over, woke up 6 hours later and finished the job. The main Photoshop file for this project was a whopping 1.4GB, with about 30 layers of inks, coloring and fancy effects; my computer wasn’t thrilled about this, but was very nice about not crashing or freezing up.

In my personal headcanon I imagined Littlepip’s appearance changing in the SPP’s virtual reality to something a little more majestic, to reflect the fact that she’s 3/5 alicorn now. I kind of pictured her as standing in for Luna now, and if ever there was a pony in the Wasteland who needs a friend, it’s Celestia.

Life Bloom’s appearance is my best guess based on a sketch from one of ‘s drawings. I don’t know if there are any other sources for him out there.
