as many other treatments are
But even nowadays with all or medicine we can’t cure serious mental diseases, we are basically no step closer to cure these things cuz we have no idea how a brain reall works
for example:
I don’t know why I wish to be death so badly, well, maybe cuz we will die no matter what and everthing seems to be pointless cuz in the end we’ll gain nothing, but it’s not rational according to human logicto think like that
A kind of shock therapy, very hot then very cold water. To shock the brain into “turning normal” of course it is a very old and dismissed form of treatment now.
But Greenjack, then Yorec can’t be on his soapbox!
you obviously haven’t been in a mental hospital then. sometimes the real crazies do need to be hosed down because they can’t be left unsupervised in a non-padded room for even a second. they use heated water, and they don’t use a fire hose these days (more like a high pressure shower hose nozzle; something actually made for cleaning people, yanno) but it still happens. considering how crazy screw loose might be I wouldn’t be surprised if they needed something that wouldn’t require her to be in a straight-jacket, yet would also keep them out of harm’s way.
Oh, wait a minute…
Well, when the first thing your president says hoping for 2013 is a Big GDP, you can expect some of this stuff.
Brazil is a more obvious Crapsaccharine World really.
I see. That’s really fucking sad
Agreed
@Pinkie Clone
yep fanon-verse really is one more than half the time :3
I live in one, and let me say one thing.
Sometimes it’s 1 world style, most of the times are awful and once in a while they end up dead.
Honestly, Fandom-Verse of MLP is the very definition of Crapsaccharine World
Which is why countries need proper and more rigorous mental healthcare. Oh it’s improved for sure in most first world countries but still not to the level that physical healthcare is. And I don’t even know what 3rd world countries do with their mentally ill, probably nothing good.
It really is sad that in 2013 shit like that can still happen.
:T but in canon it would never happen anyways so I have to use regular logic to explain it happening in fanon
We’re currently jumping from Canon-verse to Fandom-verse.
Medical board? In kiddie cartoon land, doctors probably run the whole hospital themselves.
Well all it takes is someone willingly ignoring the bad for a pay off
and it isn’t a normal hospital it is disappointingly easy for people to not trust the words of the mentally unfit and the only other people to trust would be the doctors and (in this situation) they’re probably liars, sadly once someone says you’re insane your word loses too much credibility u_u
But it still isn’t right or very believable, just more possible than you think I’ve heard of nursing homes with similar stories in the recent past :3
No wait, a medical board or official would probably be aware of a facility with such practices. Which means the artist didn’t consider that possibility, the artist willfully ignored such a possibility or that person or persons involved in officiating the transfer are implicit in this.
All possibilities are effed up.
I’m sure those that made the transfer are unaware of the exact negativities of the place that they had transfered her too u_u
So lets transfer her to a facility that hoses it’s patients? Sure I guess that would make sense. In bizzaro world!
I can understand the patient-doctor relationship though, that would make sense. But still the above makes no sense.
I’m guessing that there were ponies that felt that the medical clinic wasn’t doing enough for Screw Loose, or that there was a more than a patient-doctor relationship going on between Screw Loose and her doctor, hence the transfer.
precisely :3
Still bugs me. How does something like that even get approved? How does a pony getting proper medical care get taken away? But I guess logical questions don’t really matter as long as it’s GRIM. And DARK.
