in the idw comic, there’s a story arc where a creature known as the “book wyrm” poops a bunch of pupa around ponyville, each of whom produces a fictional character from a book the book wyrm has read/eaten. in the official timeline, the writers spend the entire arc doing nothing but breaking the fourth wall to snark about genres, then the book wyrm retcons everything because he’s a good boy now. so guess who the pony on the bottom is.
