Its really about the similar route of these characters than about 1:1 reproduction of all scenes. The only one confirmed by the show staff intentional scenes referencing BatB was the candles scenes and the face caressing in S9 Premiere.

Friends, this is just a reference, you know how many show references but in a different way? this is friendship and they are officially beaties, never romance, nothing to change that. That’s a tv kid show, you can not believe that they are a couple, that’s why nobody agrees with people because they’re repeating the same thing with that ship and it’s quite annoying. They support friendship.

Tirek only suck raw magic, and he only took most of it. If he took all of it, i guess Discord would disappear like in Discordant Harmony. Grogar might know spells that deconstruct Discord into smaller original parts.

then because when Tirek takes away his powers and magic to discord he does not separate?

Seems coincidental. These kind of things do happen between an awful lot of ponies.

Theory about Discord.
 
Discord was the fusion of some excellent chaos magic users, each one represented by an animal part of Discord, that fusion was made by Groger to make the ultimate evil creature, but all that results in a baby draconequus, making him dissapointed because that forces him to take care of him. Some years passed and the relationship between these 2 is so bad in a point where Discord just run away from home.
 
He was wandering around some little villages, trying to learn better the use of his magic, but then, he know Princess Eris´ uncle, another chaos user but he is more related with luck than with Chaos, making a good father/son relationship and then, Discord was adopted.
 
His enmity with his cousin begins after the death of the parents of Eris, forcing her to live with Discord and her uncle; creating a competition on who handles the magic of chaos better. Discord is the winner, making a inferiority complex in Eris.
 
So, she tries everything to humiliate Discord, and she actually wons that, breaking the relationship between Discord and her uncle. Discord became in a warrender again.
 
He lived some years in a town of cats, where he knows Baast, a prankster cat who really likes Discord ignoring the fact what he is a monster. But, like every mortal, she died of old age.
 
Discord realized that no matter what he will do, there is just misery, life is just an absurd joke. So, he became the spirit of chaos, making fun in every civilization without caring about the other creatures.  
in one of those years, Discord feels alone, with a thought about the need for a queen, so, he creates an alternate personality that was materialized called Cosmos, but she was a real monster.

I wasn’t really for a pony Discord at first but this theorie made me change my opinion, I want it to happen now xD  
I just hope that he’ll get a nice design where he would still be recognizable
 
I also forgot about the mix of creatures to create monsters, that does legit sounds like Discord! If we can see more of that creature mixing in s9 that would be a very cool continuity :D

Would be downright hilarious if it was the John de Lancie pony that Discord reverts to if this were to happen. Nothing like meta humor.

He should turn each of his animal parts into a sapient thinking and talking creature and the show should ship each part with Mane6, thus making DiscordxMane6 canon

if they separate Discord in their animal parts, there will have… 8? 10? whatever… Glimmers.
 
 
Would be funny if Grogar before of separate him, just creates another creature similar to him to break every relationship with the ponies, and finally break him psychologically to be easy separate him.
