Don’t get me wrong. I do like those parts of the concept and wish I had both the money and resources to do such. It’s just that both the artists and myself agreed to cut that part out as they themselves tended to admit that such feat was dinda difficult without having to insert text/explanatory boxes that could have taken up 50-60% of the panels on a page alone.
It was just something I didn’t wanna do or trade off for.
@BigOnionbean
Apologies for getting those two mixed up. As for how willing they are, that was indeed more regarding the Cheerilee/Trixie and two more I forget. They didn’t seem to have agreed beforehand.
@Starswirl
Well the potion doesn’t brainwash the ponies mainly because the alicorn in it of itself is one pony having a literal mind/personality of it’s own. The individual Heartstrong Flare himself wouldn’t know what to expect or who he was at first, since he was just created. Therefore the chance of his firdt move being straight up anger did not occur. Plus the pony that was responsible was Speedy Hooves, not Calm Merriment.
At the same time, these ponies did not get tricked into this. As pages 1 and 5 show Speedy explaining to the four the risks and effects of undergoing a process like this. A process that they all were explained to have volunteered for in the comic.
That and I am not rich, so I didn’t have the dough nor the time to try to have an artist take into context all these subjective details. I just took four ponies, threw a potion at them and BAM…..FUSION!
So… am I assume the potion includes an effect that brainwashes the victims into accepting what happened? It’s hard to believe none of them ever showed an ounce of regret, especially if they were tricked into it. You’d think at least one of the new alicorns would stomp King Calm’s head in for doing this to them.
@Drakin
Well with the way that I have set up the fusions, Were not gonna be seeing no crossgender fusions, seeing as how confusing and just plain wrong it would be.
However, I do have a plan for what will happen should individuals of the opposite gender/species should the use the fusion potion. Let alone with more than four individuals
(Nevermind the fact that there needs to be 4 ponies within the fusion, of the same gender and must be composed of all three pony types in order to form an alicorn.)
My one concern about so many fusions is sooner or later it seems like the entire population of Equestria is going to fuse into one giant mountain sized alicorn of both genders.
Not that that’s a bad thing, but it seems like it could get lonely as a civilization of a singular being.

I gotta say, I would be curious as well. ;)
Am I the only one who would really like to see what a planet-sized godpony made from the whole world population would do next?
