Yeah, she didn’t really care so much about him back then, but she didn’t really care about anyone back then, and she’s different now. And she blew him off in LoE because she was worried about Twilight’s safety, so that probably would have been more or less the same no matter how she felt about him. I’m not saying I necessarily expect them to get back together, but I certainly wouldn’t cry foul if they did.

They’re would be a couple.

They’re exes. I don’t think Sunset would ever agree to start dating again as she’s not into him like that and never has been (she stated as much in Rainbow Rocks, and blew him off in Legend of Everfree), but he was her only friend and confidant for a few years of her life so there’s a strong bond there.

Indeed. I’m not sure why people expected to see Sunset’s final ascension in the movie with Human Twi’s Luna-arc. :/
 
And as for the other 5, they got very powerful superpowers and they don’t need to become alicorns to be this strong. Human Twi did need that strength to push away Midnight Sparkle and master her powers, but still didn’t need to be a princess or a designated leader out of mandate. And just like in the last film, its not like all of them were lackeys. They all played their part, and a few of them contributed and lead.
 
The Humane 7 are developing on their own terms, which is one of the few massive lacking points in the actual show. And Sunset gained the element of Empathy beyond Celestia’s power and knowledge, a passive ability with infinite growth potential.

I’ve seen so much salt from sunset fans over this movie, but seriously… if anyone has room to complain, its the other 5 :/  
I don’t even understand why sunset fans ARE complaining; Sunset is still the leader, and directs the other 6 around the entire movie. Just because she doesn’t get to go super saiyan and solo the Climax like last time doesn’t mean she’s being snubbed.

If you’re speaking of me, I’m not “showing negativity”, I’m questioning slapping shipping/implied shipping tags on an image from a movie scene which is the exact opposite of shipping. She brushed him off. But because a screencap has them standing beside each other it’s “implied Flashimmer”? Give me a break. Sunset specifically said she was “not really interested” in Flash to begin with. She just dated him for the popularity boost. She used him. This is a poster example of rabid shippers. “Two characters having dialogue must mean they’re hot for each other.”

Flash can’t catch a break and Sunset is stuck being second banana to Twilight. You know what? I say let them spend more time together. Who knows? Maybe this will be a thing in one of those EQG specials they just announced.
