Bio: Born to a carpenter family, Azure Glide was orphaned at four months of age due to dire circumstances to keep him safe. Little did he know, his parents were murdered on orders of jealous business stallion after an altercation. All throughout his later life, he would experience vision-like dreams alluding to their fates. Until the age of Nine, he was cared for in the orphanage by Meadowshy, Fluttershy’s maternal grandmother. Seeing his friends come and go with loving parents whittled his spirits as he longed for a family of his own. To keep his spirits, he would read books and stories of the royal guard, influencing his career choice in his later life. Then came the day where the princess of the sun, Celestia herself, took notice of the colt and adopted him, treating him as if they were kin. Though a prince, an incident with a chancellor soured his desires to participate in the royal court.
 
At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Royal Guard Academy, going through hell and fury to fulfill his dreams. He didn’t face the trials alone as he made friends during training: Aqua Breeze, Buckwheat Stone, and Redwell Rhubarb. The latter of whom made Azure the godfather of his foal when she was born on the academy grounds. After a greuling five years of training, he became the guard he wanted to be, making his mother proud. During his career, he became with a young filly by the name of Twilight Sparkle. During one Summer Sun Celebration, his aunt Luna returned and welcomed her with open hooves, glad that he didn’t have to fight her. During his cousin Cadance’s wedding to his CO Shining Armor, a changeling swarm attacked Canterlot and he rallied the defenders that were in disarray, becoming scarred in the process. The changelings were routed and the battle was won. He was then named Captain of The Guard. However, it was a bittersweet pill for him as Redwell Rhubarb had fell during the battle.
 
After the return of the Pillars of Equestria and Stygian, he is confronted by Luna one night about his ‘dreams’, finally knowing the truth of his heritage. Angry and feeling betrayed by his mother, Azure angrily confronts Celestia over lying to him and keeping the truth from him. He set out to find the stallion responsible for having his parents murdered and ended the old stallion’s life in cold blood which was witnessed by Celestia. After waking up in his room, Azure was brought to his parents grave where they reconciled. A month later, the changelings launched a night siege, with the intention of assassinating Celestia and Luna. In the throne room, Azure defended his unconscious foster mother, shielding her from poisoned arrows with his body, facing down a sizeable horde. After many minutes of fighting, the changelings retreated and Azure, content and happy his mother is safe, died in his mother’s hooves.
