Honestly if the only reason to have dragons in the show is for jokes, then yes it is stupid and uncreative. The show has Pinkie Pie, it doesn’t need anymore comic relief. Then again this show isn’t even that complex, so you are right, I shouldn’t take offence. Shows like Star vs The Forces of Evil at least admit that it was stupid for the Mewmans to be prejudicial against Monsters. :P

Okay A.) We’re talking about Smolder ending up in a similar situation to Spike, not all dragons necessarily. Just trying to work out the logic that magic works under, if any, since it has been shown that Spike becomes a dog instead of a human and a blowfish instead of a seapony when hit with transformation magic that works differently on ponies.

B.) why is it a funny joke when it happens to Spike but suddenly it’s horrible to think of the same thing happening to Smolder?

C.) Dragons aren’t real, so I don’t see how it could hurt their feelings to start with. Being ‘speciesist’ isn’t a real thing outside of the show. If you’re taking offense on a fictional characters behalf, please stop. Go lay down and stop assuming the worst about people.

It certainly seems like harm. When the humor is only directed at dragons, then yes, it’s speciest and not funny. Smolder is bigger than Spike, she may be a different fish.

It’s not stupid, it’s logical. There is no reason that Spike would be the only dragon effected by magic that way.

Humor may be subjective but I don’t mean any harm when I suggest it would be funny if other dragons got the same treatment Spike did.
