The pony names can be whatever the show writers want, obviously.
 
And my alternative dialogue isn’t the best. I came up with it on the spot. But I still think the original dialogue from the episode sounds absolutely horrid. Yes, Celestia and Twilight are both more academic and formal than most, but that doesn’t mean they have to talk like Completely Real Humans With Real Human Emotions Who Are Absolutely Not Robots.

The actual transcript reflex Twilight Sparkle and Celestia’s personality much better anyway. They’re academic types, not artist. If Rarity were saying it, would be more agreeable. Plus, there’s not a realistic way for Twilight to know the names of the ponies.
 
All of the rules for writing change for dialogue.
 
Additionally, the names used are fanmade, and even if Hasbro wanted to use those names they wouldn’t have been able to get them to the script in time.
 
Actually I’m trying to figure out where the Unicorn’s name came from.

It would be cool if flutter ponies would get Canon but I’m pretty sure that this is just the spell.

“Of course! and the wings and magical dampening ring you made seem to be working really well.”
 
Ughhhh, so artificial and info-dumpy.
 
Better:  
“I know all-unicorn teams aren’t exactly the traditional way buckball is played, but Magic School is rather short on earth ponies and pegasi.”  
“It’s no problem! The flutterwing spell seems to be doing a great job for Shining Sapphire, and Starblossom is kicking some serious rump even without using her magic!”
