I did really enjoy “The last crusade”. But (and this is just my opinion, not arguing with anyone else’s), I really didn’t like Scoots parents all that much (mostly until the end). I glad we FINALLY got to meet them before the series conclusion, but still….
 
I mean, they have not shown their faces on screen or mentioned in 8 and a half seasons, then they just show up and deiced to rip-away Scootaloo from the life she has build in ponyville in their complete absence.
 
I think that the topic is quite a mature and deep one to tackle. Losing friends due to (you or them) moving away for the benefit of the parents is something alot of kids unfortunately have to deal with. I myself know what that is like.
 
But the fact this is just so abrupt and the fact they were not even IN PONYVILLE FOR OVER 8 YEARS (or however time passes in Equestria) just made their a decision completely enraging. They went and SOLD her house with-out so much as a care. As Scoots herself said “your changing my entire life with-out asking how i feel”. I think the “in a nutshell” fan-video on YouTube summarizes her parents stubbornness perfectly.
 
Still I enjoyed the episode. I thought it was quite funny how it took the whole town to convince Snap and Mane they really had NO CLUE about their daughters life in Ponyville and her importance there.
