I wanted to know if we had a Plan too.  
I see absolutely no need for the majority of spam (screencaps, macros texyt etc.) either.  
But I need to know how we’re doing the import of the high-rated images. What I would probably do if this does not clash with any “official” process is go by artist and upload everything by one person, then move on to the next.  
I don’t use the torrents because TAGGING. It’s extremely important that all mass uploads are still properly tagged, and it is easier for me to do that if I look at the source (I prefer bringing the pic from there too in case the resolution changed when it was uploaded to Poni), AND look at the tags (make sure I do not forget any, and also see if there are any tested and popular extra tags that would work here).

I can do the ’All Explicit for you guys, sort out the fluffies and pure shite and UL the rest here

People could download the torrents. Some are too large for some people’s internet but I have all of the select-safe images. People only have to download the “all-(safe/questionable/explicit)” torrents and upload all of the pictures to here. Some people have actually done it already. All they would have to do is upload them to this site…
 
Not hard at all. The hardest part is finding the people who have downloaded the “all-explicit” images lol.

The “… I liked …” part could be a problem.
 
If somebody is only bringing over pictures she/he likes for a certain tag, you do have quality control on one hand, but you also do have the danger of data loss on the other.
 
What if somebody else wants to transfer pictures of that tag too, sees, that somebody else already did it, but doesn’t see, that that gal/guy fail to upload an specific one, she/he liked?

I’m mainly focusing on my favorites and pictures that stuck out to me. I’m not really concerned about being systematic about it.

Uploading and tagging can be tedious thing. what we can do is move the pictures at a fast rate by first tagging the artist and deal with the rest later.

Oh, we’re actually gonna try to move everything? I thought we were reposting things for the sake of reposting things.

I’m already uploading all relevant g3, g3.5, g2 (or tales/g1.5 if you prefer), and g1  
plain screencaps and contentless posts notwithstanding
