While it’s true that you can’t divide everything in white and black, there’s still a huge difference between well-meaning people who saved the day multiple times but occasionally do stupid things and people who want to steal your magic, mind control you or try to force you into joining their cult.
 
The former can rightfully be called heroes and the later are villains.
