Just ignore them Suri. They come here to troll anyway. Your art is beautiful as always! 😀 By the way, are you planning to make any art of Princess Skystar from the movie or no?
Seriously, this is getting out of topic just because some ignorant people won’t stop whining (the best to do in this case is to ignore them, let them argue by themselves).
Anyway, this picture of “Rarity” that Suirano made is really beautiful (good job and keep looking forward, there is no need to waste time in people that are not worth it)
@thetundraterror
I am not giving you guff and fair use allows monetization off of existing IPs if you actually research the law and understand its entirety. As long as the medium is transformative and not a direct rip off of the existing IP, it is allowed to be used by other parties even gaining monetization. There are many Youtube videos and documentations on the internet about this.
So, research your facts before you decide to shove your biased opinion at me. If you don’t wish to support me, don’t. I am not forcing you or anyone to. It is an image, one of hundreds of mine that exist on the internet. It isn’t like I hoard everything from all of you, 85% of my art is public with 15% being on Patreon which eventually becomes public.
So again, please understand facts and information before attempting a meaningless argument based on your general dislike of a subject.
@thetundraterror
You clearly like to speak non sense. In what scenario you are not allowed to make money by drawing something that was already done, if the artist is not “tracing” the piece of art exactly as the original, I see no problem with making money taking reference of something that already exist. So in other words, you wouldn’t be allowed to draw a car because you are not the owner of the original design or you wouldn’t be allowed to draw the Eiffel tower because of the same reason(Also you wouldn’t be allowed to sell a piece of art with a car nor the Eiffel tower using your logic); clearly what you said makes no sense, I don’t know in what you believe, but in music it is totally ok to make covers of already existing songs because you are putting your own style on to it, go to youtube and see for yourself how many are the youtubers musicians that are doing covers and making money out of it.
@Suirano
I really hate when people disrespect artists just because they have the ignorance and misconception of art. An artist spends a lot of time in order to create a piece of art, this mean that all the time that you put to create art is valuable. You are in all your right to ask for monetary support and also to publish different variations of your art on patreon if you desire. Most of the time the people that complain the most are the ones who want everything for free and they demand or leave any indirect comment as if they were the one that own or purchased the art that you decided to share FOR FREE.
On the other hand, you’re an amazing artist that has improved throughout these past years, you should be proud of yourself.
Seriously I work in the music industry and it pisses me off how people perceive any form of art as if it has no value, because they don’t see all the time and effort that you put in to it.
It is better to ignore those kind of people and just try to focus in the ones that encourages you to become better.
@Dortigaunt the Invincible
For those who wanted me to make it in the first place and just want to support me. My patrons are the ones that were fine with me giving things publicly because they just wanted to support me so I can keep functioning and creating. I asked them if they wanted things just for them or make things public and over 80% voted make it public. So that’s your answer. I just have fans that are really good people and want to help me. The reason I put stuff up there earlier is a thank you for those who are kind enough to help a shitty artist like me. There are many that abuse Patreon and I can fully understand the skepticism with it but not everyone does. I try my damndest to be fair for both them and the public in a reasonable sense. If the few wish to view me as a “shitty paywall artist” because they didn’t read anything, well I cannot change their minds. Those of my fans that know me even a tiny bit knows I care equally for the fans that are on Patreon and the public.
@Suirano
Imho artists who have patreon accounts are kins self-sabotaging themselves.What’s the point of paying money now if we can just get the content for free eventually?Then if you make it exclusive to Patreon payers only,it makes you look like a scumbag that’s paywalling their non-paying supporters.No matter which way you slice it,it just creates animosity towards the artist.
Honestly,you should proooobably just stick to commisions and that aforementioned tipjar.If there’s an option,then people are going to go for the one that gets them free stuff.It’s better to be paid to be overworked rather than not neing paid for your work at all.
@Raritybro
People complain even when I do that. People just like to complain regardless of what it is. If I didn’t have a Patreon, they’d find something else to complain about, like my Temptation comic hence why that comic is basically dead.
@Suirano
People would probably take it better if, each time you mention patreon, you clarify in some way that it’s only patreon exclusive for a limited time
@thetundraterror
You realize everything I post on Patreon I do post publicly in time. I have said this numerous times so I do not understand why so many of you find the need to bitch everytime I so much as mention the damn website.
Can you not?
Good porn is worth waiting for.

Bro, you’re making your money off images of IPs you don’t own. Don’t try and give me guff.

Real talk: Artists who use Patreon as a paywall instead of a tipjar is part of the reason I’ll never use that shithole.
