If Marble wasn’t Pinkie’s twin, and didn’t look so much like her mother, I’d think you were on to something. It is definitely still strange though… Then again. Where does the purple come from on Limestone’s coat, and Maud’s mane?
 
Huh, Igneous must have had a naturally purple mane in his younger years. I can’t think of any other way. And that went ont to become Marble’s eye color? Yeah. Makes sense now.
