apparently she called gilbert’s agent and had to explain to them what bronies are and what bronycon is. gilbert’s people were apparently amused enough by the idea to say yes, although admittedly gilbert’s the kind of guy who would say yes to almost anything provided it’s sufficiently weird.
for real tho, sophie scruggs is a freaking goddess for actually pulling this off. honestly the only way it could’ve been better is if gilbert actually tried to sing to the melody of the song rather than just reciting the lyrics like a poem. i swear i would’ve paid out of pocket to get him to do that, lol

Well, if they were right next to the screamer, then they could’ve asked the screamer to be quiet. But maybe the screamer was a seat or two away. Plus the person recording was probably a bit too far from the speakers, ‘cause even when the screamer wasn’t screaming, Gilbert was still just barely audible.
@Joshua
I can’t think much of anything when watching that video, ‘cause I could barely hear a word Gilbert was saying, especially with that person screaching “Whoo!” every five seconds.
If someone could find and upload just a raw video of him singing it, that’d be perfect.
Hey hey, that’s uncalled for. I’ve recently found out Gilbert Gottfried was a great father as well as a famous actor.
What a baby!
I guess he’s the kind of guy who enjoys the weird side of life.
Yes, as evidenced by him featuring in an AVGN episode that was uploaded the other day.

She convinced Gilbert to go through with this?

You’re welcome.
Yes, actually. Thank you.
Maybe this might help you hear the voice better.

I think I know why; the one who recorded the thing was sitting next to a screamer.
