Agreed. it was probably only a time skip of about 10 years, 15 at most.
They made them look a lot older than they probably are. Probably in their “early to mid 30s” which isn’t very old at all. Twilight and Spike look way too big for the timespan. Like they are on alicorn and dragon steroids.
Or have paid attention to the dialogue.
