I don’t personally believe that respects the artists whose work you are editing. And a lot of artists will do a takedown if you edit their work and upload it here even though they have a DO NOT POST listing.
 
So if you do NOT know that someone is ok with uploading an edit of their work, then it would be perfectly reasonable for them to perceive your behavior as, at best, unbelievably inconsiderate and rude.
 
If you want to roll those dice, that’s your call. But if you upload edits of more art by artists who don’t like their art being edited, they you are really giving the community here a choice of losing those artists because you can’t be bothered to make sure you know whose art you are editing, and make sure that those artists are ok with edits of their work, or losing you.
 
How do you think that’s going to play out?
 
Your call. Just a friendly fellow artists pointing out that you appear to be really inconsiderate and don’t appear to care at all if you edit and upload other peoples art who have specifically asked that you not do that.

Well if I don’t know the original artist, it should be fine to at least add artist needed right?

Maybe try not editing a work if you don’t know who made it.

I tried to reverse search the original and it didn’t show up. But I’ll add the artist needed tag next time if I don’t know who the artist is.

You obviously respect artist:jhayarr23’s work and want people to associate their quality of work with your edits. Please consider giving them credit for their work which you are editing, and provide a link to the image that you edited in the description, like this:
 

 
Because not doing that is very disrespectful. And you shouldn’t be disrespectful of an artist whose work you like so much that you present as if it was your own.
