Not really. I don’t think Faust’s original intend was to make Scootaloo a depressing character by giving her wings that would never work properly. If she never flies with her own wings, it just means she’s going to overcome that disability with something else (like her scooter, duh) and be stronger for it. I’ve always thought Scootaloo was the most inspirational of the CMC, and this has always been a bit of fan headcanon that could have been smashed like so much other headcanon over the seasons. I feel like this was confirmation that fans early on in the series were right about Scootaloo thanks to this episode.

Not necessarily. Bulk Biceps can still fly even though his wings are small. But that being said, it does lean a bit more towards that way.
