evidently you have an understanding of logic rather than a gift for music, having both is neat but vinyl is the one right in this one, music has to live, it´s history is something worth appreciating but it´s not what matters about music.

While an appreciation of music’s history is often useful and desired, it is not required to make extraordinary and/or inspired music. Music’s “heart” and its history are not the same thing. Consider history’s musicians. Those who did not have a history to look back on. They drew their music from the world around them and from their own souls. Their love is no less. So, I say make music your own. Draw inspiration from wherever you may. Whether it be from music’s history or your own life, it’s just as valid.
