You can draw males whatever you like. The show’s style (which has some goods and flaws with designing the characters) shouldn’t telling you how to draw. There is some fanart where both males and females have the same muzzle shape.

I guess it gives artists an excuse to disregard the canon male kirin designs though, which is probably good.
