I love your walls of text, they fascinate me so. c:
Well, as I said their interactions have never been the highlight of any episode, yet, so I can understand if it’s not immediately obvious.
That said, I disagree entirely.
It’s very clear that the two have different interests, but their personalities clash and match up perfectly.
It’s obvious they both love to dazzle…throughout Season 2 Dash has had less and less of an issue with Rarity’s talents in clothes (find a pet and the second season finale), and Rarity’s herself has never hesitated to put her talents to work in helping dash. There were several instances where dash has shown an avid interest in looking good, and others where rarity can be a bit sporty, like in sleepless in poniville.
Even at it’s worst, their relationship has neither been that of hate, nor devoid of chemistry. Any Drawbacks just come down to Rarity being vain and dash being very impatient/ brash at times, but that has never come from any malice for one another.
I find Dash’s occasional teasing of Rarity, and their being at odds at certain points to flesh out how they act as something of a positive comedic foil to one another, and theres some value to that dynamic too.
You can see this in literally all of the example I provided.
There are setbacks to Appledash, flutterdash, and Pinkiedash too, yknow…
With Appledash, they tend to butt head andbe at odds much more intensely then any other pair.
Pinkiedash comes off as more of a one sided obsession, which is unhealthy
And with Flutterdash…Dash really, REALLY doesn’t seem to respect fluttershy’s interests, hobbies and opinion at all. She alwys forces her into things she doesn’t want to do, and their time together, as adults, always seem to be contingent upon flutters not being herself, and being forced outside her comfort zone.
That said, I’m sure those ships have merit too. You can like those ships all you can like them all you want.
But don’t act as if I never gave any sound reasoning for my enjoyment of raridash.
Well, even if that’s true like Starly said some popular ships never interact at all, like FlutterMac.
Those I could probably see in a relationship.

I’m not sure what your deal is but I wasn’t trying to start anything. I already apologized for any misunderstanding. I didn’t say anything against any ships, I just made a comment that I’d never noticed any sexual tension between Rarity and Dash, that’s it, and I was kind of trying to be funny anyway because, as you guys have already pointed out, ALL sexual tension in this cartoon is going to be made up anyway.

Bullshit. Nearly every rarijack and appledash shipper likes to talk down to other people like you did for not falling in with the popular opinion, without really taking any interest in knowing why they might have that perspective.
They have have interacted in the show numerous times, even if it was not the main focus of any episode.
Rainbow Dash decided to help try out Rarity’s outfits in ‘Swarm of the Century’ (albeit begrudgingly, but only due to the fact that she is just impatient, like she was watching butterfly’s with Flutters),
The way they went out of each others way for one another in Sonic Rainboom.
Dash being the first to apologize to Rarity in “dressed for success”
Rarity remembering what Dash said about the Wonderbolts in “Sweet and Elite” from conversations they had
Them planning to eat together in “dragon quest, before Spike left.
Rarity insisting Dash to get a hooficure with her
Rarity enjoying Dash’s flying performances and visiting her in the hospital in “Read it and weep
Their overall friendliness toward each other in the 2nd season finale.
