Which I didn’t understand frankly… (They obviously never read licensed comics before. Like the Sonic comics had to gradually change, and adapt new things there were added to the game canon, as it got more fleshed out.)
Some fans literally assumed they would be safe from “Twilicorn” with the comics, so you can just imagine their spaghetti fits of rage once it was stated Twilicorn would eventually be adapted into the comic.
I think there was even a guy actually so upset over that, he was Photoshopping the wings out of them…

Oh yeah, we’ve been through it every time something new comes in.
Oddly, it was the opposite case with the official IDW MLP comics.
They were actually very well received by most of the fanbase when they first came out in the Season 3 era. …In fact, because of that, for awhile some even cited the comics as “superior” to the show, and gravitated to them, when the show was apparently going directions they disliked.
Now ironically, the comics have been quite controversial for most bronies in the past few years.
@northern haste
Yeah, though some fans oddly insist it is, and get mad anytime Pinkie, Twilight, or whatever acts humorous. So I’m sure those same people will demonize Pony Life, even if the humor style is basically the same as FIM.
Also, sense it’s basically a new canon, expect the character personalities to be a li’l different, at least.
@Beau Skunky
another think about teen Titans go that was a comedic spin-off to a much more serious show. MLP definitely had some serious moments but it was not a serious show
@northern haste
It’s basically just an extra. The Pony Life shorts will be a li’l longer, and have voice acting.
One thing to look forward to is, they’re going to use the original FIM voice cast, I hear. (In before some smart-ass points out “So did TTG.”)
Judging from the style of the stop-motion shorts, it looks like they’re not going to make this too TTG, to me. They’re basically going to be like a slice of life episode from FIM or G3.
@Liggliluff
The “real” animation is from toy commercial @Beau Skunky
Stop motion isn’t easy especially on a TV budget. I like them but you can tell they’re cutting corners
@Beau Skunky
I don’t think I actually seen anyone explain what was wrong with season 9’s animation just calling them meme faces (not how memes work) or ignoring the context of the emotions
This was made when we only had that toy commercial

I guess because they thought the comic would be a place to escape the show’s new things

that actually I never think that was me about the drama we’ve been through this before
It basically is just filler, but hopefully, it’ll be entertaining/cute/funny filler.
Heck, many of us used to think there was no way EqGirls, or MLP:FIM itself could be “good.”
I think that worse the show will just be a simple filler show until g5 which I’m pretty sure is supposed to start next year

I don’t think the stop-motion short is the actual show
I would never have thought that the “Pony Life” shorts would be claymation. And yeah, they look better than I feared.
I don’t mind it. kinda reminds me of Robot Chicken. Some fans joke this is the “Robot Chicken” universe.
Well the mouth and eyes to seem to be a bit of paper. Also the obvious 2D backgrounds
Regardless, some of the expressions are pretty good for “cheaper” stop-motion.
Doesn’t this face warm anyone’s heart?

The official stop-motion animated shorts released so far actually aren’t.
Yeah, and you can’t judge the entire season’s quality on one episode.
It’d be like saying Season 2 was bad for all the crazy Twifaces in “Lesson Zero.” (Love that episode, don’t care what anyone says.)

I’m in the same boat
