Well who else is he going to ask? He knows it wasn’t him. He only uses the marshmallow fluff for that purpose.
 
And really, that’s far from the only unanswered question here. Like, how is he able to tell that someone stuck their wiener in a jar of peanut butter in the first place? How is so sure that it was Chrysalis or his wife, and not any of the palace guards? Why has no one ever noticed the goo spitting bug monster humping a jar of peanut butter prior to now? Does said goo spitting bug monster prefer Skippy or Jif? Is this why the shopping list has recently emphasized creamy peanut butter, not chunky? All important questions, all unanswered.

To be fair, Cadance also has trouble telling the difference between Shining and his wife.

In Shining Armors defense, it can be hard sometimes to tell which one is his wife and which one is a goo spitting bug monster.

I don’t know how to feel about Shining directing this question to them…
