Well in the episode, the spines are poisonous, as Jasmine accidentally poisons Aladdin when she uses her tail to grab him when he falls from a cliff, and if Cadance has those as well, it might be a bit tricky to cuddle with her safely.
I’ll look again. I may have overlooked it.
It’s on Disney+ along with other disney shows and movies
I think there was one where the Sultan did.

The episode is called eye of the beholder, and it’s one of my favorite episodes
