Thinking about it…this could work in a story.

In an alternate world, the confrontation between Twilight and Moondancer went far worse. In this timeline, the stuff that happened between S1 and their current situation went far worse for Moondancer. She thought Twilight had deserted her outright, not fit for her ever again. It drove her mad…made her crave vengeance against this pony.

And thus…a demon was born…
