well yeah if you take infection into account, she wouldn’t have gone a day with her arm lopped off before she was delusional and feverish and probably going into sepsis. if she didn’t die of the injury, the blood loss, or the infection, she’d die from being too fucked up to get herself to a source of drinkable water.
but I mean, that’s stupid. I like it much better that she survived and found a prosthetic somehow. (seriously is that a literal toilet plunger?)
@redweasel
Quite unlikely, specially with the terribly poor medical procedures they have on that universe.
The eye is one of the immunologically privileged parts of the body, and a 200-ish rusty knife used by a raider could be hardly considered sterile.
If the knife slashed through the eyelid, infection is almost assured.
Then again, ponies are magical creatures that may function different from humans. Or those enormous eyes would not be possible.
the eye can heal from scratches, burst blood vessels, even damage to the iris. the biggest danger is too much or too little pressure inside the eye, and beyond that it’s pretty robust.
and by pretty robust I mean that it has as small a chance of healing as anywhere else on the body. smaller even. but it can take a beating.
plus the spear cut across her eyelid. that means her eye was closed, probably reflexively, when he slashed her. the eyelid is kind of designed for exactly that sort of thing.
not saying her chances are good, but with her eye swollen shut like that (another thing that’s supposed to happen) the eyeball does have a chance to heal in there.
wouldn’t you want to see her shocked when she discovers she still has an eye?
@redweasel
Nice~ though my point was that eye injuries like what Tripone, Thor, and Odin are likely unable to be healed. The eye is a delicate organ with many tiny and important parts. Any of that gets destroyed in any significant way, it’s damn near impossible to fix. And in that universe? It’ll be hard enough just to get protection for it (eye patch, etc). Though as @Background Pony #6E8D said, it is possible – though unlikely – she could get a cyber eye.
no, but I have studied ancient norse legends about the one eyed wanderer, a powerful seeker of knowledge willing to do whatever it takes to bring the secret workings of the world to light.
@redweasel
Did you see Thor: Ragnarok? || Thor lost his right eye to his evil sister Hella, || then, in Infinity War, || Thor got his new eye from Rocket, which he stole in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. ||
Well it was good while it lasted.
I always thought of a stick attached with duct tape to the stub of her leg. Noe that you mention it, kind of looks like that.
I definitely agree with that sentiment, lol. Logic sucks sometimes, and isn’t as cool or as much fun.

Maybe she’ll get a cyborg eye like Red Eye. Those are canon in the universe.

thor’s his son.

eye injuries can be really ugly and bloody, and not actually destroy the eyeball.
also don’t you mean ||odin? ||
Unlikely, though maybe she’ll get a fake eye like Thor.
hope her eye gets better.
Cute pone, btw.
