Are you talking about “dear, I”, “It’s a-”, and “clear that”? I’m pretty sure that Andrea sang those as “quarter + eighth” triplets, despite being written as “dotted eighth note + sixteenth note”.
Db, B, F#, and E are a pianist’s favorite keys because they let your hands rest over the black keys while there are only two (or three if it’s E or Ab) white notes to bother your thumbs.
Now I need to give the song a close listen to hear if the non-triplet 16ths are how they’re actually sung or if they’re rhythmic jank imposed by the notation software.
As someone who has used music notation software before (Musescore), I can admit that starting out in 12/8 can be daunting, and I’d rather begin with 4/4 and just click Ctrl+3 on every quarter rest necessary to make it a triplet.
